The amplifier aims to combine strides in analog and digital technologies to give you multiple classic tones.





With the Silverline Standard, you get the ability to store up to 128 presets, and access four of them at a time from the amplifier itself. The amp makes use of six preamplifier voices and six power amp emulations. Preamp voicings include Clean Warm, Clean Bright, Crunch, Super Crunch, OD 1, and OD 2 for a wide variety of tones.





The power amp section, on the other hand, makes use of SHARC powered DSP algorithms and Blackstar's TVP technology to give you the vibe, response, and tone of six notable, real-world power amp sections. When you combine the preamp and the power amp sections with Blackstar's ISF tone control, you'll find you have a fine hand on your tone.





Additionally, the Silverline Standard offers a panoply of studio-quality effects including reverb, phaser, flanger, tremolo, delay, and more. You can control the level, tempo, and type of these effects from the amp itself.





Bass, treble, gain, volume, and Blackstar's ISF tone controls are on hand, as are secondary controls, made possible via holding the Tap button. With this button held, you can access Presence and Resonance controls, as well as a secondary effect control; this control changes depending on the type of effect.





In addition to the 1/4" input for electric guitars, the amplifier also sports a 3.5mm line auxiliary input, as well as a 3.5mm emulated-speaker headphone output. You can output sound directly, over USB, to your computer, using the guitar amp as an interface for your electric guitar. You'll also note the footswitch input, through which you can control multiple aspects of the pedal by means of a separately available footswitch.
