Having joined the band Mana at only the tender age of 15 and subsequently selling millions of albums plus receiving 12 Grammys, Alex Gonzalez has had the sort of career many drummers dream of. This DW Collector’s Series Alex Gonzalez Icon Snare Drum ? with its gray-dyed birdseye maple outer veneer plus Alex’s famous rose logo and portrait ? is almost as romantic as Alex’s career. The drum’s intricate shell inlays (which also include a Mana logo) are sculpted from dyed tulip, koto, and pearwood, and underneath them all is an 11-ply HVLT North American hard rock maple shell. Black nickel DW hardware also adorns this beautiful snare, including True Hoops and True Pitch tuning, plus a MAG throw off and a 5-position (5P) butt plate. Every DW Collector’s Series Alex Gonzalez Icon Snare Drum comes with its own DW carrying case and a certificate of authenticity signed by John Good.
