The Artisan Cantina Line from Meinl Percussion offers a cajon with a little extra spunk. This cajon exhibits a wide dynamic range thanks to an extra-thick wooden sound port ring and adjustable strings that deliver exceptional bass compression. We’ve seen our share of impressive cajons here at Sweetwater. Still, this walnut and Baltic birch cajon rolls out a full, punchy tone and projection filled with warm clarity ? all thanks to master builder Jose “Pepote” Hernandez Diaz! That tight, percussive snare effect happens courtesy of two sets of eight micro-coiled metal cajon strings. What’s more, you can adjust the snappiness of these strings with an included tuning key. For those looking to record, the Artisan Cantina Line Cajon also features a pop filter on the soundhole to keep it sounding sharp and resonant at all times. Finish it off with decorative wood inlays, and you have a cajon that plays just as good as it looks.
